Note : Attempt all the sections as per instructions.

Section-A

Note : This section contains six questions, attempt any three questions. Each question carries 20 marks. Answer must be descriptive

(20×3 =60)

  1. Describe the factors which affect the environment.
  2. Write an essay on human rights.
  3. Classify ecosystem.
  4. Give an account of causes of extinction of species.
  5. Give a detailed account of water pollution and its control.
  6. Write an essay on the protection of wildlife in India.

Section-B

Note: This section contains three questions, attempt any two questions requiring short answers of one paragraph of note more than 100 words. Each questions carries 10 marks.

(10 x 2 = 20)

  1. Describe flow of energy in living world.
  2. Describe the sources of energy and their importance.
  3. Write short notes on any two of the following:

(a) Food chain and food web.

 (b) Bio-magnification.

(c) Ozone depletion.

Section-C

Note: This question contains five parts. All parts will be compulsory. There will be no internal choice. The answer of each part should be between 20 to 30 words. Each part carries 4 marks.

(4 x 5=20)

  1. Write short notes on:

(a) Nitrogen cycle.

(b) Greenhouse gases.

(c) Acid rain.

(d) Human rights.

(e) Wildlife Protection Act.

  4. Write an essay on functional aspects of ecosystem.
  5. Give an account of importance of forests.
  6. Write notes an any two of the following:

          (a) Acid rain.

          (b) Greenhouse effect.

          (c) Cyclone.

Section-B

Note: This section contains three questions, attempt any two questions requiring short answers of one paragraph of note more than 100 words. Each questions carries 10 marks.

(10 x 2 = 20)

  1. Write a short note on depletion of ozone layer.
  2. Write a detailed note on mineral resources,
  3. Describe wildlife conservation.

Note: This question contains five parts. All parts will be compulsory. There will be no internal choice. The answer of each part should be between 20 to 30 words. Each part carries 4 marks.

(a) Carbon cycle.

(b) AIDS.

(c) Air Prevention and Control of Pollution Act.

(d) Four human rights.

(e) Importance of natural resources.

  1. Define environment. Give the importance of environmental studies in modern age..
  2. Give an account of biogeographical regions of India.
  3. Give the utility of water resources. What are its problems at the present
  4. Write an account of mineral resources. Or Describe ecological pyramids.
  5. Write an essay on human rights.
  6. Give an account of forest resources.

Section-B

Note: This section contains three questions, attempt any two questions requiring short answers of one paragraph of note more than 100 words. Each questions carries 10 marks.

Or

          Define succession. Give an account of hydrosive and xerosive.
